Aberdeen Historical Walking Tours Coming!
June 2016 - Beginning mid-June through Labor Day Weekend, there will be two guided walking tours available to locals and tourists looking to take a glimpse into Aberdeen’s rich history. Be sure to bring your walking shoes and be prepared to take a step back in time with your knowledgeable tour guide!
Tour One: Murder, Madams & Mayhem
Meet your knowledgeable tour guide at the Aberdeen Museum of History and make your way to the historic downtown streets of Aberdeen. Along the way revel at stories from Aberdeen’s colorful past when ladies of the night brushed shoulders with notorious characters such as Billy Gohl, all while stepping foot in some of Aberdeen’s most notable buildings.
Tour Two: Timber Barons & Stately Manors
Beginning at the beautiful 1905 Aberdeen Mansion, enjoy a guided walk around Broadway Hill passing stately homes built at the turn of the century. Marvel at the architectural excellence while hearing stories about the fascinating lives of some of Aberdeen’s most prominent families. End the tour with an exclusive look inside the Aberdeen Mansion with refreshments to follow.
