February Organization of the Month – The Domestic Violence Center of Grays Harbor
Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is pleased to announce The Domestic Violence Center of Grays Harbor as our February Organization of the Month.
“We are honored to receive this award and remain committed to serving the community of Grays Harbor,” said Executive Director Gloria Callaghan.
The GGHI Ambassadors presented the award to The Domestic Violence Center, an organization serving victims and survivors of domestic violence and their families for over 37 years. The Center’s team includes Executive Director Gloria Callaghan, Advocate Jen Gould, Caty Barden, Bonnie Allen, and Legal Advocate Kelly Toomey.
As part of their mission, the Center encourages safe and healthy relationships for survivors of domestic violence and their families through advocacy, awareness, intervention, prevention, and shelter in Grays Harbor County.
The Domestic Violence Center is financially supported through the United Way of Grays Harbor and private donations from the community. If you would like to support their continued work, call (360) 538-0733 or stop by their offices at 2306 Sumner Avenue Hoquiam, WA 98550.
The Center’s team regularly attends GGHI’s monthly Business After Hours and Business Forum Luncheons. When asked why they are members, Gloria Callaghan explains, “Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is a great way to stay connected – it helps us know what is going on in the community.”
The Business of the Month is based on excellence in image, employee relations, community services, support of Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. and customer service. Only 12 of these prestigious awards are presented each year.
