New Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. Member Spotlight: Timber Tails K9 Rescue!

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is proud to highlight Timber Tails K9 Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Oakville dedicated to giving lost and abandoned dogs in Grays Harbor County and surrounding rural communities a second chance at life.
Founded on the mission of Rescue, Rest, Rehab, and Adopt, Timber Tails works primarily by pulling dogs from local shelters to prevent unnecessary euthanasia. In just six months, they have brought in more than 70 dogs and successfully adopted out over 50 into loving families!
One of their unique programs, the Last Sprouts Program, offers a compassionate solution for pet owners with pregnant dogs. Timber Tails takes in the mom, provides a safe space for her to give birth and raise her puppies, then spays her before returning her to the owner at no cost, while finding permanent homes for the puppies.
The rescue also partners with local police departments to offer free microchipping events, having already microchipped more than 80 dogs at three events to help reunite pets with their owners and reduce shelter intake.
Fosters play a vital role in the Timber Tails mission. Foster homes give dogs the opportunity to learn, heal, and show their personalities outside of a shelter environment—all with no expense to the foster. Timber Tails provides food, crates, vet care, and vaccinations. The rewards of fostering go beyond saving lives; fosters get to witness the transformation of frightened, neglected dogs into confident, loving companions. And sometimes, a foster home becomes a forever home—what they affectionately call a “foster fail.”
From preventing euthanasia in local shelters to sharing incredible stories of resilience, Timber Tails K9 Rescue is changing lives, one dog at a time.
