GGHI Welcomes New Member, Oyhut Bay Market & Bakery!

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is excited to introduce one of our newest members, Oyhut Bay Market & Bakery!

Oyhut Bay Market & Bakery is a small grocery store in Oyhut Bay Seaside Village. The store carries groceries, organic produce, a large selection of beer and wine and some gift items and also has an espresso bar and a bakery, where everything is baked in-house. The business takes custom cake orders for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. Next door they have a gift shop, Seaglass Gifts at Oyhut Bay, that carries nautical gifts, greeting cards, soaps and lotions, candles, jewelry, and other unique items.

Owners, Bryan and Dori lived and worked in Vancouver, WA and decided it was time to build their forever home at the beach. They bought property and hired a builder to build their dream home in Ocean Shores. After moving into their home with their two puppies, Bryan transferred to the Aberdeen Safeway store as a meat cutter. He’s been in the grocery business for 35 years, starting work as a teenager in his grandfather’s and father’s meat cutting business. Dori continued working in Vancouver as a software developer during the week and came to the beach on the weekends. She had been doing custom cakes on the side for 10 years and decided it was time to leave the corporate world and do her dream job, bake!

The two took over the Oyhut Bay Market, adding a bakery and coffee bar, and started a new chapter in their lives. After the 1st year, they expanded the market into the space next door, adding organic produce, toys, and gift items. After the 2nd year, they moved all the gift items into a new gift shop, Seaglass Gifts at Oyhut Bay.

Oyhut Bay Market & Bakery has donated baked goods and/or coffee drinks to Oyhut Bay when there is a special event or special guest as well as donated a variety of cookies to the Artisan Faire in 2022, benefiting North Beach Medical Equipment.
