After three and half years of service, Lynnette Buffington has announced her resignation from Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI), effective January 12, 2024. Ms. Buffington served as Chief Executive Officer and has played a pivotal role in the organization’s success during her tenure. Ms. Buffington will begin her role as Chief of Staff at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce next month.

Under Ms. Buffington’s leadership, GGHI has achieved significant milestones, including providing economic relief to the business community during the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding GGHI’s small business services, securing grant funding for programmatic services and building a government affairs body of work. Her strategic vision, passion for community development, and commitment to the organization’s mission have left a positive mark on the Grays Harbor community.

Ms. Buffington expressed her gratitude for the opportunities to contribute to the growth and prosperity of GGHI. She stated, “It has been an honor to serve the businesses and municipalities of Grays Harbor and work alongside so many dedicated individuals. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and am excited for the continued success of this organization.”

The Board of Directors at GGHI expressed their sincere appreciation to Ms. Buffington for her outstanding leadership and service at GGHI. As she moves on, they will begin the search for a qualified candidate to ensure a smooth transition into the vacant position.

She has laid a solid foundation and guided us through challenging times in our business community. We are truly grateful for her dedication and contribution.
