The Morck Hotel & Mill Creek Dam to be Discussed at Monthly Luncheon

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is excited to announce that the August Business Forum Lunch will detail two important economic projects in Grays Harbor. Speakers from Forterra will present on their vision for preservation of the Morck Hotel followed by speakers from the City of Cosmopolis and HDR Engineering who will touch on the recently completed Mill Creek Dam project.

Morck Hotel – Presenters from Forterra will provide background information on their organization and why they’re interested in pursuing feasibility on the Morck Hotel property. They will discuss the vision that they have and a status update with proposed work into the first quarter of 2020. Presenters include: Nicholas Carr, Director Chehalis Basin, Hillary Wilson, Director Business Development and Alison Crowley, Director Construction & Development.

Cosmopolis Mill Creek Dam Update – This presentation will discuss three topics: permitting issues, construction details and economic impact of the Mill Creek Dam. There will be poster boards, a slide show and a drone video that was flown during construction. Presenters will include: Mayor Frank Chestnut, Darrin Raines, City Administrator and Mathew Prociv, from HDR Engineering.

Please register for each individual attending from your organization. The cost is $20 for GGHI members / $25 for non-members. Lunch is included and will be catered by Aloha Alabama. Leaders Circle members can send an attendee for free.

Reservations & Cancellation Policy

Individual Registrations: If you make a reservation but are unable to attend, Greater Grays Harbor is still responsible for the cost of your luncheon/event reservation. If unable to attend, substitutions are welcome any time prior to the event date. Registrants are responsible for the full event fee for any cancellation made after 5:00 p.m., seven days prior to the event. Registration fees will not be refunded or waived after that date. No-shows will be charged the full registration fee.
