Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) Welcomes New Member, Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund!

The Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund (CTLF) is a nonprofit Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) located on the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation in southwestern Washington State. They serve Chehalis Tribal members, employees of the Tribe and Tribal entities, other Native Americans, and the surrounding community. Their programs include small business, consumer, and home improvement loans; credit-building products; and financial education workshops. The CTLF's goal is to help clients become financially confident and solid enough to choose any lending institution they want for their financing needs and operate under the mission of "Paving the way to financial empowerment through Education, Coaching, and Fair Lending." 

The CTLF was established in 2006 by the Chehalis Tribe to provide greater access to financial services. In 2015, CTLF became a certified Native CDFI. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, their goal is to strengthen financial empowerment in the community through lending, education, and coaching.  

CTLF provides a variety of opportunities for entrepreneurs, including credit-building programs, small business loans, and technical assistance. They also offer ongoing educational workshops tailored to the needs of business owners. A big part of what makes them unique is their one-on-one coaching approach – they take the time to sit down with clients, walk through their goals, and help build financial empowerment step by step. This individualized support, combined with their focus on building long-term relationships, is what sets them apart. 

The CTLF's long-term goals are to expand access to capital, foster entrepreneurship, and help build generational prosperity for Chehalis families and the surrounding region. Community members are encouraged to attend the CTLF's business education classes and financial literacy workshops as well as follow them on social media for the latest updates.
