Back to School – What will you learn this year?
Summer 2023 has come to its unofficial end. Labor Day Weekend is in the books, Logger’s Playday is this weekend, and the stream of tourists has started to trickle.
The end of summer marks the start of the school year for many of our neighbors and friends. Students of all ages are returning to classrooms and learning environments. While reflecting on the tradition of returning to school I thought about what learning opportunities our business community could take advantage of to enhance their capacities.
Recently Greater Grays Harbor, Inc’s staff and board participated in a full day board retreat. We reviewed our strategic plan from past years and dove deep into updating and restructuring the goals. During the retreat we also focused on what legislative priorities are necessary for our organization to support advancing the regional economy. We had a bit of a civics lesson in which everyone learned something new about the legislative process.
So, what will your business learn this year? Will you commit to learning effective use of social media? Maybe you’ll work on your business financial literacy. Whatever it is, put on your learning cap and let’s all go back to school!
