The highly anticipated return of Showcase Grays Harbor has been announced by Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI), the tour organizer. Set to tour the South Beach area, this day-long event will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023.

First launched in 2000, Showcase Grays Harbor was created to offer residents a behind-the-scenes look at various businesses and sites throughout the County that are otherwise inaccessible to community members. In 2017, the last year that Showcase Grays Harbor was conducted, participants toured East Grays Harbor County businesses including Austin Family Farms, Wild Thyme Farm, Vertellus Performance Chemicals, and Vaughan Chopper Pumps.

This year’s tour will highlight the bustling South Beach area. Participants begin by boarding Grays Harbor Transit buses before driving to the coast. While the official itinerary is being finalized, participants will receive an exclusive tour of the Westport Marina, learn the history and heritage of South Beach, enjoy seafood and fishing demonstrations, see behind the scenes on essential services, and visit local businesses.

“The GGHI Staff, Board, and Showcase Committee, made up of local business leaders, are thrilled to bring this event back to the Harbor,” stated Lynnette Buffington, GGHI CEO. “This is truly an event unlike any other providing an unparalleled view into some of the most important industries in the region. We look forward to highlighting South Beach this year and are working to put together a fantastic lineup of site visits.”

Visit the official event page at https://rb.gy/uyxjx for additional details on participating businesses and what to expect as well as purchase your ticket. The cost is $65 per person and includes a catered lunch. Being such a unique experience, Showcase Grays Harbor sells out quickly, and residents are encouraged to purchase their ticket as soon as possible.
