Greater Grays Harbor Announces Business of the Quarter Recipient for Q3 of 2020

Each quarter, Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) chooses one deserving business or organization in Grays Harbor to be awarded with Business of the Quarter. Although much of 2020 has been rattled by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the GGHI staff, board and Ambassador Team were eager to bring back the award presentation once it was safe to do so. On Wednesday, October 14, Harbor Pacific Bottling, Inc. was presented with the honor at their headquarters located at 50 Schouweiler Tr Road East in Elma.

In operation and a member of GGHI (formerly the Grays Harbor Chamber of Commerce) since 1957, Harbor Pacific is one of the largest employers in Elma. They are an independent wholesale Pepsi distributor bringing refreshment to Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties in southwest Washington. Over their 63 years in operation, Harbor Pacific has given back to local schools and non-profits such as YMCA of Grays Harbor, Washington Business Week, Habitat for Humanity, and Grays Harbor Historical Seaport, to name a few.

When asked what he most enjoys about doing business in Grays Harbor, Harbor Pacific president and general manager, Tim Martin, explained how he appreciates the relationships that can be built with customers and employees in a tight knit community. Tim also explained how being a part of GGHI is important to Harbor Pacific as the organization helps to develop the business environment in Grays Harbor.

“GGHI is very excited to honor them with Business of the Quarter,” states Lynnette Buffington, GGHI CEO. “Harbor Pacific has demonstrated decades of business resiliency and is a model to us all. We wish them many more years of success in Grays Harbor.”
