Seabreeze Sauna & Cold Plunge opened in 2025 and is positioned on beautiful Lake Minard in Ocean Shores, Washington. Their team offers a wellness experience called contrast therapy, a recovery method that involves alternating the body between periods of extreme heat, such as in our outdoor saunas, followed by exposure to cold through our temperature controlled cold plunge baths. This rapid temperature shift creates a “vascular pumping” effect where blood vessels dilate in the heat and constrict in the cold, which boosts circulation, flushes out metabolic waste, reduces muscle soreness, decreases inflammation and provides a mental reset by triggering a surge in your brain’s hormones leaving you feeling relaxed with increased mental clarity and focus.
The newly constructed Seabreeze facility features a beautifully landscaped setting on Lake Minard including lake front views, two outdoor saunas, temperature controlled cold plunges, outdoor hot/cold showers, outdoor fire pit and sitting area, bathroom and changing areas. The facility is open all year long, providing a warm space to heat yourself up on those cold rainy days out here on the Washington coast.
Unlike a traditional indoor spa, Seabreeze offers an outdoor setting combining ancient health practices with a modern-day focus on nature and mental resilience. The owners are lifelong residents of the Pacific Northwest, moving to Ocean Shores in 2023. On a cold and rainy evening in January of 2024 with nothing better to do, they ventured to Seabrook and experienced for the first time contrast therapy, or as co-owner, Christina, referred to as “a warm and relaxing sauna followed by, whoa, this water is bloody cold!” This first experience was hosted by Michelle from Connect Wellness in Vancouver who runs a mobile sauna business. After just a few sessions, they were hooked, and in March of 2024, decided to bring the sauna and cold plunge experience to the Ocean Shores community.
