As was announced in mid-April, Dru Garson, Greater Grays Harbor’s (GGHI) CEO since 2014, has accepted a new position with the Association of Washington Business. Dru’s last day with the organization was Friday, April 24, 2020.
The GGHI Board of Directors has asked Grant Jones, Director of Business Development to fill in as Interim CEO while they conduct a search for a candidate to fill the position long term. Grant has been with GGHI since August of 2018. “This is not a responsibility I take lightly,” says Grant, “especially considering the current global situation and its implications for our local economy. The focus of our organization will remain on helping our community proactively respond to the economic disruptions caused by COVID-19.”
Local businesses can find a list of COVID-19 resources on Greater Grays Harbor’s COVID-19 Resources Page.
“The board is very happy and thankful that Grant will be filling in as Interim CEO of GGHI until the executive search is completed,” says Tony Enzler, Chairman of the GGHI Board. “Grant brings a wealth of business knowledge to our community at a time when it is really needed. Due to his dedication, our services will not have a lapse as GGHI continues to provide critical information through the Covid-19 pandemic.”
