A great education is vital to ensure a prosperous community. Grays Harbor County offers excellent educational opportunities for everyone. From preschool through college, we are dedicated to giving our children every chance to succeed with a top education.
Grays Harbor offers many opportunities for socialization and education with a wide range of child care and preschool centers. There are 13 excellent school districts operating in Grays Harbor. The County’s districts have 38 elementary, middle and high schools that are progressive and innovative. Students in their final two years of high school have the opportunity to attend courses at Grays Harbor College simultaneously with their high school work; sometimes even gaining College Associate degrees concurrent with their High School diplomas.
There are many after-school clubs, sports, and activities for students to become involved in. One of the many examples is the Grays Harbor County 4-H club which develops skills such as leadership and volunteerism that benefit the youth of our community. There is also a state of the art YMCA in Hoquiam that provides after-school swimming and sporting activities.
