Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. is excited to announce the awardee of the 2021 Q2 Business of the Quarter: Mount Olympus Brewing!

Opened in 2018 after years of home-brewing and dreaming of turning a passion into a career, Mount Olympus Brewing was born.

The name for the brewery comes directly from the 7,980 ft. tall, Mount Olympus, which stands as the tallest and most prominent mountain in the Olympic National Park. Located in Aberdeen, Mount Olympus Brewing takes pride in crafting unique and delicious beer for the Grays Harbor community and visitors to sip and enjoy. After renovating a long-standing building in the downtown corridor, the brewery has helped bring life to bustling Heron Street. Recent updates to the facility now include a large outdoor patio with tables, corn hole and soon, a stage as well as the addition of shareable food items such as the large Bavarian-style pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce and mouthwatering nachos.

Chosen as Greater Grays Harbor, Inc.’s (GGHI) Business of the Quarter for Q2 of 2021, this local business has proven that they’re dedicated to helping the area continue to prosper and grow. Owner, Orlando Maldonado has stated how their vision from the start was to produce high quality beer while also giving back to the community.

Much of their time and dollars support local non-profit organizations such as United Way, PAWS of Grays Harbor as well as local fundraising for annual library book sales and various silent auctions. One of their most notable partnerships has been with the Grays Harbor Steam Team canning project. This project donated $1 for every four pack of beer sold to support their continued efforts of protecting and restoring the streams flowing through Grays Harbor County. Mount Olympus Brewing also proudly supports the Downtown Aberdeen Association’s efforts and are always excited to support other local businesses or organizations.

The GGHI Staff, Board and Ambassador Team are thrilled to award this deserving business with Business of the Quarter and look forward to watching their continued growth over the years.
