Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) CEO, Lynnette Buffington was appointed to the Child Care Collaborative Task Force by Governor Jay Inslee on March 25, 2022.
The Child Care Collaborative Task Force (C3TF) was created by the Washington State Legislature in 2018 (SHB 2367) to develop policy recommendations to incentivize employer-supported child care and improve child care access and affordability for employees.
The Task Force has since been extended twice, most recently to study the true cost of high-quality childcare and to make subsequent recommendations to the legislature.
“The demand for affordable, accessible, and reliable childcare in the Grays Harbor community continues to be one of the highest priorities for Greater Grays Harbor, Inc.,” states Buffington. “A healthy local economy needs a strong childcare network to recover and develop resiliency. Joining the Child Care Collaborative Taskforce at the state level is an honor for Grays Harbor, but also a strategic place to share our region’s voice.”
