Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) is honored to welcome new member, Five Star Dealerships to the organization! 

Five Star Dealerships in Aberdeen has had some major changes recently, including two longtime managers now taking ownership roles. This change came as owner, Rich Hartman agreed to sell Allen Erickson and Damon Gleason a major piece of the business in early 2021. Erickson and Gleason, both born and raised in Grays Harbor, each purchased 40% of the dealerships from Hartman.

Erickson has always had a love of cars and has worked in many roles, beginning when he was 16, before becoming part owner. He’s very thankful for the opportunity that Rich offered to own a franchise dealership and hopes to maintain its stability and continue growing into the future.  

Gleason manages the Ford-Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep store in East Aberdeen and fell in love with the car business when he was in college. Being able to buy into the local company is his dream come true and shows that hard work, honesty and integrity in a small community pays off.

Keeping the ownership locally owned was something that all three of the now owners were proud to have accomplished. Hartman plans to stay in the area and explained on social media how happy he is to have the future of the stores in great (and younger) hands that understand the same principles that he has implemented over the years.

Being locally owned, Five Star Dealerships makes a point to give back to the community. A few of the many events and non-profits that they support include: United Way, Sand & Sawdust Festival and Splash Festival. Keep an eye out for the renovations planned for the East Aberdeen store that will bring about a whole new look and feel.
